BLOGHOUSTON.NET AND HOUBLOG.COM GO OUT TO INVESTIGATE!

THEY PROBED WHAT BLOGHOUSTON AND HOUBLOG CALLS THE DANGER TRAIN!

They planned it as a fun field trip for their readers but the publishers of BlogHouston.net, Kevin Whited and Anne Linehan, were very serious about looking for any flaws in Metro’s rail train this weekend. About a dozen or so readers from the news and issues blog as well as Houblog.com showed up downtown for a ride along Main street from Preston to Reliant field. They were looking for problems with the train system. They had cameras and pads ready to record defects. The Insite was able to snap a few pictures of the blog investigative team out and about in downtown Houston Saturday. For the results of their investigation go to: Bloghouston.net and www.houblog.com

The Metro Rail should be as safe as it can be. I think we all want that for the city. But this whole thing is funny because I’ve heard people call it the danger train before. This is so typical Houston. We say we want the best of the best but don’t want to pay for it.

I hope the motivation behind that field trip actually was about safety.

Isiah, thanks for the prominent mention! (and for not snapping my picture)

As for the anon sniper above, why don’t you stop by Bloghouston and Houblog to see for yourself? The short answer is “no.” It wasn’t about safety, it was about safety, exposing Metro’s lies, and showing the public, instead of telling the public, what is wrong with the Danger Train.

You’ve heard people call it the danger train before? Maybe there’s…. a reason!

The Metro Rail is probably one of the most useless trains in American history. It goes from dowtown to the medical center area. How about going to an actual community that needs it…Danger train is dumb.
