I FINALLY GOT MY SHOES BACK!

SHINED WITH NEW SOLES AND HEELS THE INSITE SHOES ARE BACK!

For those of you who like follow ups, this is for you. It was June 2 when I took a pair of shoes in to the Shoe Hospital on Kirby. When I went back later that day they claimed I was not promised my shoes back in the same day. Then when the clerks went to look for the pair of shoes they couldn’t find them. I was very upset and ask that they call me when they found the shoes. I never did get a call. I just waited and waited and waited. Nearly two months later I now have my shoes back. So I’m sure you know how I feel about the shoe hospital…

I too have had problems with that location recently. When picking up several shoes I checked them at the counter before paying (nearly $200), except I missed checking one by mistake. They were to replace a heel tip on this pair, and I didn’t realize they didn’t until I took them on a business trip. When I got back into town I went back to the store and explained the issue. Grudgingly and reluctantly they replaced the heel for me. At the same time I was picking up a pair of shoes that I had requested they put on new laces, along with replacing the soles, heels and reconditioning the leather. When I got them, they had put a pack of laces in the bag. I asked the clerk why they didn’t relace the shoes and he said they only sell them, not actually replace the old with the new. I politely asked him if he didn’t mind relacing them, seeing as I’m paying over $100 for repairs to those shoes alone, thinking the less than 2 minutes of replacing wouldn’t be a big deal. With a big sigh he did it, but didn’t seem happy about it. While I don’t mind paying for quality work, I also expect quality customer service. Insite, any suggestions of where else we can go for shoe repairs?

If you can pump your own gas, you can lace your damn shoes.

Ike, you need to be more observant. They don’t do any repiars that that location. All the do is collect the shoes and send them to a very efficient and centralized location. They do fantastic work. The turn around time is usually about a week. Over the past 25 years I’ve taken dozens of pairs of shoes to them and have always been delighted with the work that they have done. You should give them another try.
