THE DOCUMENTS THAT RE-IGNITED THE FIRE!
You may have seen it on FOX 26 Thursday night at 9pm…The Houston Police Officers Union fires back at Chief Harold Hurtt after he’s quoted in the Houston Chronicle about the results on an officer’s opinion poll. The survey, taken by 2300 officers, shows according to the union – cops don’t have confidence in Chief Hurtt. The chief said in the chronicle Wednesday that he didn’t have complete confidence in the survey and that he’d like to see a second independent survey. A survey that isn’t administered by the union. According to HPOU executive director Mark Clark – the union responded a day later to the newspaper article with a letter. It asks chief Hurtt to resign if another independent survey shows officers still don’t feel he’s a good leader. The Chronicle article and the Union letter are posted above.
