FROM HOUSTON TO LITTLE ROCK AND IN MEMPHIS…I’VE INTERVIEWED THEM ALL!
I was on the Newsday website Monday night reading a link of all the famous people who have died in the month of July in 2006 and I realized over several years I’ve interviewed a third of the list. On that list: Ken Lay – the founder of Enron, Win Rockefeller – the former Billionaire Lt. Governor of Arkansas and soap actor Benjamin Hendrickson from “As The World Turns”. Now here’s the background. I interviewed Ken Lay in Houston during his many press conferences outside the federal courthouse during the Enron criminal trial. I also had a chance to converse on camera several times with Winthrop Rockefeller while I was a reporter in Little Rock and he was lieutenant governor…And I met Benjamin Hendrickson while visiting WCBS in New York and interviewed him in Memphis while I worked there. What are the chances of that. Interviewing 3 high profile people who all have died in the same month of July. Just a thought for The Insite and you…
Lay died as a result of a heart condition.
Rockefeller died from cancer.
Hendrickson took his own life.
