WHAT SIZE IS THAT? I’VE NEVER SEEN A SMEDIUM!
It was supposed to be a softball interview with Beyonce and her mother Tina Knowles to promote their fashion line “House of Dereon.” But consumer reporter Dorothy Tucker of CBS 2 Chicago had the nerve to bring up recent complaints regarding the clothing…which didn’t make Mama too happy. Apparently, some stores carrying Dereon pieces – such as Impressions Boutique in Wheaton, Ill – have complained about the sizing of the clothes. Impressions owner Allyson Masters told CBS 2 that the clothing is beautifully made, but the sizing was off. “I could not get the two tops I received to fit anybody,” Masters told the news outlet. Tucker tried to bring the issue to the attention of Tina Knowles during the interview and was shut down. Tucker said: “We did get a phone call from a couple of those stores who said they had to send the production back…that the corsets, the tops were small…” Tina: “Why would you…wait, wait, wait,” Tina said, looking off to the side for help. “Okay, we gonna cut that out.” Looking back at Tucker, she says, “Why would you do that here? I mean, we’re here to interview about the clothes, I mean in a positive…you know…” Tucker tries to explain the issue further, but Knowles says: “Yeah, but I don’t wanna talk about that on the air.”
