ANDY KAHAN SHOWS YOU HOW HE GETS THINGS DONE!

IT TOOK JUST ONE LETTER FROM ANDY TO CHANGE POLICY!

Andy Kahan is the high profile Victim’s Advocate who works for the city of Houston. He has been successful on a long list of fronts while putting the bad guys behind bars. This time he has been successful in a situation that has bothered many Houstonians. In the past, the Department of Public Safety has purged the list of sex offenders who have been deported out of the country. Illegal immigrants. But back in September when HPD officer Rodney Johnson was gunned down there was no proof on the sex offender website that the suspected killer was a registered offender. That’s because the state, since 1999, has deleted the records of illegal immigrants they believed were deported out of the country. The problem – those who are deported are more than likely to come back into the country like officer Johnson’s shooter. So after a strongly worded letter from Kahan – the state decided to change their policy. Now DPS is reposting the names and pictures of nearly 2100 registered sex offenders on the website. That number includes more than 200 right here in Harris County. Kudos to Andy for doing what he does best and that’s looking out for the victims in Houston. And Mr. Kahan thanks for dropping by The Insite!
