INSITE EXCLUSIVE: 96.1 THA ZONE SHUT DOWN!

THE PLUG HAS BEEN PULLED IN ACRES HOMES!

The Insite was first to report that Acres Homes radio station 96.1 Tha Zone was visited by the Federal Communications Commission on Friday. The special agent gave the station, that has no license to operate, a verbal warning to shutdown or face the consequences. That meant the confiscation of their equipment and jail time for the owner. K.P. Hearns tells The Insite he will do everything possible to try and get a low power FM radio license. He says for the last year and 3 months he’s been unsuccessful. But Hearns says he has the support of Shelia Jackson Lee, Jarvis Johnson and Sylvest Turner. He’s hoping the political heavyweights will stand by him when the time comes. Until then 96.1 Tha Zone will remain silent to its estimated 14,000 Acres Homes listeners.
