The Insite made a stop in downtown Houston Sunday to see several 50 year old trees being moved to make space for Houston’s first Luxury High Rise Residential building. It’s being developed by Marvy Finger
(blue polo shirt) and the Fingers Companies. It will be on the corners of Austin and Lamar. Now the moved trees will be a part of Houston’s developing Discovery Green Park only a block away near the George R. Brown Convention Center. The new high rise will be named One Park Place and will have 346 luxury apartments. Groundbreaking for One Park Place will take place January 2007. Mr. Finger says he has developments all over the country in major cities and he realized Houston was the only city missing a major downtown residential high rise. The building will be 37 stories tall. Pictured above with Mr. Fingers is the architect of the project Jeffrey D. Ryan (red sweater) of Jackson and Ryan Architects. And thanks for dropping by The Insite guys!
