UPDATE: IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE A CHURCH!

EXCITED ABOUT THE NEW DOWNTOWN STRUCTURE!

Just wanted to snap these latest pictures on the holy construction site in downtown Houston. The Archdiocese is building a new church across from the old Sacred Heart on St. Joseph Parkway. It appears the construction is progressing with the house of worhsip being built by the Archdiosese of Galveston – Houston. Sacred Heart’s new co-cathedral is being erected at a cost of $40 million dollars. It will seat nearly 1900 people and serve as a major hub for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. I was told construction kicked off back in 2005 and it’s expected to be complete by the year 2007!
