HOUSTONIANS GO TO THE STELLAR AWARDS IN NASHVLLE!

Mayor Pro-Tem Michael Berry journeyed to Nashville for the taping of the 22nd Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards. Berry was invited to pay tribute to the founder of the Stellar Awards, Don Jackson. Berry was joined on stage by Nashville Vice Mayor Howard Gentry as he praised Don Jackson for his vision and courage to honor those who labored hard in the vineyards of gospel music. Quite a show c few Houstonians made the trip to Nashville for the theo-hosted by Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary &Tye Tribbett. Joining Mayor Pro-Tem Michael Berry in Nashville was his wife Nandy Berry and Carl “the New Hammer” Davis. Making the rounds to the events were Dr. Bobby Jones of BET, Sugar Land’s Gospel Recording Artist Kurt Carr, Vickie Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Patti LaBelle, Kirk Franklin, Bishop James Dixon, Pastor Gregg Patrick, Pastor Rudy Rasmus and Houston’s own (and the first Stellar Hall of Fame inductee) Yolanda Adams.
