IT WAS AN ICY AMERICAN IDOL NIGHT!

PEOPLE STILL OUT AND ABOUT EVEN IN THE NASTY WEATHER!

The Insite made a stop by a good Louisiana eatery called Boudreaux’s Tuesday night to pick up a to go order to bring back to the hotel room. (Yes, I’m at the LaQuinta again tonight) I was surprised to catch many of the customers gathered around a television at the bar watching FOX’s American Idol. It must have been funny because they were belting out laughter. Then the moment came…One guy in the group recognized the Insite. He yells out my name across the restaurant and asks how’s the weather going to be. But he didn’t stop there. He was determined to get me back to his corner of the bar with several of his friends. I think he must have asked me to come have a drink about 5 times. Unfortunately, I just wanted to get back to the room and out of the elements. He then pleaded one more time telling me “I’ll buy you anything at the bar under $9.” He went on to say no bottle popping here, I’m working class – your limit is $9. I had to turn him down but I thought it was a pretty good gesture. And I was glad to see so many people glued to American Idol on a very nasty wintry night!
