MONEY TO HELP EDUCATE THE STUDENTS!

Prairie View A&M University is pleased to announce that Shell Oil Company recently donated $32,000 to its College of Engineering through a Shell Departmental Grant. With its second consecutive grant donation to the PVAMU College of Engineering, Shell has further strengthened its relationship with Prairie View A&M University by providing resources that will support the training of future engineers.
The College of Engineering will administer funds from the grant to the Engineering and Science Concepts Institute (ESCI) and to various academic engineering organizations and programs. In total, Shell has donated more than $50,000, to the PVAMU College of Engineering within the current academic year.
For decades PVAMU’s College of Engineering has been the hallmark of the university’s mission concerning teaching, research and service. Currently led by Dean Milton R. Bryant, the Prairie View A&M College of Engineering consists of six departments: chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, engineering technology and mechanical engineering.

The college offers a total of nine bachelor’s degrees, four master’s degrees and one doctorate degree. In an effort to expand their knowledge base and to secure specific skills, many PVAMU engineering students choose to minor in concentrated academic areas such as chemical, civil, environmental and mechanical engineering.
