THE SOLAR PANELS WERE ALLEGEDLY TURNED THE WRONG WAY!

MORE PARKING ISSUES IN DOWNTOWN HOUSTON + PLUS THE INSITE GETS ANOTHER TICKET!

Some Houstonians have been complaining about the city of Houston’s new multi-million dollar parking meters. They say the highly touted machines were not working properly. One theory is their solar power panels were turned away from the sun. A local reporter did a report showing many of the panels should’ve been pointed towards the sun while they were found in various directions around the downtown area until he brought it to their attention. Some Houstonians say the machines were not taking credit cards when the panels were turned in the wrong direction. However – the city’s parking enforcement department said all the meters were not online yet. We’ll continue to watch this. In the meantime, I just got a ticket while parked at the city hall annex building. I was there covering the city council meeting. I was told during the council sessions tickets are not issued at city hall. However, I may have stayed there about two hours after the meeting and ended up with a ticket. Not sure how relevant this was to the original post but the Insite just had to vent!
