“A KNOCKOUT AFFAIR” honors Grammy winner Yolanda Adams and others

The Prince Complex will sponsor its Second Annual Fundraiser, “A Knockout Affair”, Thursday March 1, 2007 at the Westin Galleria Hotel.

This year’s honorees include Grammy Award Winning Inspirational artist Yolanda Adams, Middleweight great boxing Champion Bernard Hopkins, The President of Sisters Network, Inc., Karen Jackson, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, D.R.E.M.E. Foundation President Cheryl McNair and the owners of Festari for men, Rudy and Debbie Festari.

The Prince Complex founded by Rap-A-Lot CEO James Prince, is a multi – service center located in the Fifth Ward area. It serves more than 6,000 inner city youths and senior citizens each year with its various programs and events, which include after school activities, food programs, and drug prevention classes.

“A Knockout Affair” will include a reception, dinner, and dancing as well as a silent and live auction. A 2007, C230WZ, Mercedes Benz, will also be raffled off. Raffle tickets are $100.

Last year’s “A Knockout Affair,” which honored former Heavyweight boxing champ George Foreman and Vince Young, raised more than $100,000 for the Prince Complex.

This year’s Honorary Chairperson’s are Tracy and Clarenda McGrady along with Merele Yarborough. Special guests will include Mayor Bill White and Andrea White
