WHO SHOULD BE BLAMED – THE KID OR THE RAPPER?

MEMORIAL AREA’S MOST WANTED!

I was stopped at a red light on Echo Lane just outside of Memorial High School Monday afternoon when a big Suburban SUV pulled along side of me. The loud bumping music coming out the car was disturbing at best. It was a 16 year old or so white male student from Memorial High. So the question you may be asking now is why would he bring up the student’s race. Well it’s an important part of this post. The music coming out of the car was by an African American rapper who was saying ni—- over and over again. The kid in the car was bobbing his head to it. Music I’m sure his parents have no idea he has in his c-d collection. It was like one of those surreal moments that you would catch in the 2003 movie ‘Malibu’s Most Wanted’ where this very rich white kid wanted to be a respected rapper. But that’s kind of off the subject but still on point. So my question is: Is it the students fault for listening to this offensive music or is it the rappers fault for putting out the vulgarity in the first place? What do you think?
