It is probably one of the most irritating things I have seen in recent years. People pretending to be too busy to get off their cell phones to talk to someone who is there in person. I saw it just Saturday night in a local store. A clerk was waiting on this woman who refused to get off her phone to address her lack of cash problem. It was horrible. The clerk told her she didn’t have enough money and she refused to get off the phone to handle the situation. I’ve encountered interviews who refuse to get off their cell phones to start the interview. Where did this new tech rudeness come from? I once heard it was socially reclusive individuals who were inept at dealing with people so they resort to their cell phones to avoid all real human interaction. So will you also make this ‘I won’t talk with you to you until you get off your cell phone’ month?
