HARRIS COUNTY WORKER’S TRAVEL COST: $400,000 +

WHERE THEY’RE TRAVELING ON THE TAXPAYERS DIME!

It’s always interesting to see some of the places and seminars government employees will be attending over the year. The Insite obtained a list of scheduled trips for some Harris County employees and they get to go to some cool places. Tops on that list is a $2,000 trip to Vegas for one county worker to attend the ‘Society for Human Resources Management Conference.’ The most expensive county trip for one employee will be right here in Houston. That employee will attend a 3 day session in Houston for VMware Infrastructure training at a cost of $2,995. The trip the Insite would like most to take is the Miami trip a county worker is taking in April at a cost of $971. County records show a total of 244 employees will be traveling over the year at a total cost of $419,764.
