The Insite has learned Acres Homes community radio station 96.1 Tha Zone has been given the green light by the Federal Communications Commission to apply for a license. As you may remember the pirate radio station operated for a year without a license until being shut down back in November of 2006. The station owner, Felisha Ener, says she will submit her paperwork on October 17th. You may also recall Felisha’s husband, K.P. Ener (pictured), just recently died so the widow says she’s going to carry on her husbands dream to get 96.1 back on the air. Meanwhile, Felisha needs your help. She’s now trying to come up with money to help put a tombstone on her husbands grave. Because 96.1 hasn’t been able to sell commercial time she has been left in dire straits. She says she wants to honor K.P. who has gone without a marker on his grave since his death. If you think you would like to help or donate please leave your email below or email The Insite directly. No amount is too small!
