HOUSTON HAS ITS OWN GHOST TOWN!

A COOL PLACE TO GO FOR HALLOWEEN!

I was out working on a report Thursday afternoon when I ended up in a neighborhood in northeast Houston. What I immediately noticed – all the homes were empty. Some of them had sad faces spray painted on the brick with x marks as well. Then I realized I was just west of Bush Intercontinental Airport. I found a Houston police officer who said the homes were abandoned sometime ago because the airport bought the residents out. He said the airport has plans to either expand the airport or increase their quiet zone. I drove through the neighborhood just off Greens Road near Aldine Westfield and it was very creepy. It was as if it was one of the desert communities abandoned after nuclear tests in the 40’s and 50’s. As I drove around the area it began to look more like one of the old ghost towns in the old west. I think it would be a cool place to go during Halloween. Just an Insite sighting I decided to share!
