THEY’RE SENDING SHELLEY SEKULA GIBBS BACK!

SHE SAT THERE AND DIDN’T SAY ANYTHING!

I walked into the Mayor Pro Tem’s office Wednesday and was shocked to see former Houston City Council Member Shelley Sekula Gibbs sitting in a chair. It wasn’t the real Gibbs but a portrait of her that used to hang in the lobby of city hall. You see when she resigned her at large position her picture came down. Gibbs went on to be a Congresswoman for two months. But I spoke to the Mayor Pro Tem administrator Katie Dorfman. She said Gibbs picture is headed back to the studio where it was taken. I was surprised to learn the city doesn’t own any of the pictures taken of council members. Dorfman says when a council member’s term is up the picture goes back to Kaye Marvin studios. The agency that takes the picture. If council members want to keep their picture they have to purchase it. It appears Shelley didn’t have an interest in her portrait!
