THE BATTLING HPD UNIFORM PHOTOGRAPHS!
The Insite received a call from Houston city council candidate Tom Nixon. He apparently read The Insite’s previous post and wanted to send a clear message. He says his picture that’s posted on his campaign website is a form of free speech. He says if HPD wants to throw around ethics allegations they need to address Councilman Adrian Garcia first. Nixon says Garcia displays a picture of himself in uniform on his political website and he no longer works for HPD as well. The former officer/attorney says he’s simply showing that he proudly served the people of this community for more than 10 years. He says the photo of him in uniform is his personal property and he will display it how he chooses.
By the way, still no response from the Houston Police Department on this matter. I was told they’re investigating it.
UPDATE: GARCIA HAS REMOVED HIS PHOTO IN UNIFORM FROM HIS WEBSITE BUT I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A RESPONSE FROM HIS OFFICE!
