Nobody was hurt today when fire broke out at an electrical substation in Houston after what some witnesses say was an explosion.
The fire was later brought under control. The cause of the blaze is sought.
CenterPoint Energy officials report as many as 17-thousand customers lost electricity. Remote switching was being done to try to return power to customers.
Temperatures were in the mid-to-upper 70’s today — with fair conditions — at the time the fire broke out.
