NABA CELEBRATES IN DOWNTOWN HOUSTON!


$13,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS HANDED OUT TO YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY!








The Insite had a chance to serve as emcee for an event honoring young people and accountants from around the country. The National Association of Black Accountants held their annual scholarship and awards gala at the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Houston. More than $13,000 scholarships were handed out to high school and college students from in and around the Houston area. The event was held last year in Miami and the keynote speaker was NABA’s national president Gwendolyn Skillern. Some of the people in attendance: Monique Inocente, Eric Moses, Harry E. Johnson (King Memorial Alpha Phi Alpha), William North, Dr. Howell Lynch (Lamar University), Eugene Padgett, Starlisha McDade, Dannetta English, Al Quincy Newsome, Charles Carter, Chatney Noble and the list goes on!
