COULD ALBERTO GONZALES BE HEADED BACK TO HOUSTON?

IS IT TIME FOR HIM TO RESIGN?

President Bush today called an upcoming Senate vote of no confidence in Attorney General Alberto Gonzales “pure political theater.”
The president stood by his embattled friend during a news conference at his Central Texas ranch, saying Gonzales “has done nothing wrong.”
He rapped Senate Democrats preparing a no-confidence vote on the embattled attorney general by week’s end and urged them to get back to legislative business.
Bush didn’t answer a question about whether he intends to keep Gonzales in office through the end of his presidency.
