SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT WHO’S WHO IN BLACK HOUSTON!

HAVE YOU MADE THE PAGES OF THE BOOK YET?

Executives from the locally published book ‘Who’s Who In Black Houston’ made a stop at city hall Tuesday. Phyllis Bailey and Pamella Thorne delivered more than a dozen copies of the book to council members and the Mayor. Bailey said she wanted to stress the importance of the book and how it can be used as a tool for city leaders. Bailey said the books can be used to attract African American conventions to the city while also providing a new list of role models to students in the community. Council member Jarvis Johnson praised the book while Mayor Pro Tem Michael Berry joked Johnson just wanted to ensure he got into next year’s edition. Johnson fired back that Berry’s attempt to get into the pages of Who’s Who in Black Houston has already been rejected. By the way, The Insite made the inaugural edition of the book!
