THE BIDDING WAR OVER PARIS HILTON INTERVIEW!

This time the controversy is about Paris Hilton getting out of jail.
N-B-C and A-B-C are trying to quell a firestorm over purportedly buying rights to an exclusive interview with the heiress after she’s released from jail next week.
An A-B-C News executive says the Hilton family had offered the interview to Barbara Walters, but the network has turned it down.
Earlier in the week, A-B-C had thought it had secured an interview with the Hiltons. An agreement called for a payment of 100-thousand dollars for the use of exclusive video and other
material to go with the story. But the family told executives they had been out-bid by an “astronomical” offer from N-B-C.
N-B-C News denies the claim and says it would only be interested in speaking to Hilton if no money were involved.

QUESTION: DID THESE NEWS ORGANIZATIONS GO TOO FAR FOR THE PARIS HILTON INTERVIEW?
