If you’ve ever seen Houston defense attorney Brian Wice on television you know he’s been controversial with some of his comments. During an early morning interview Tuesday he was interviewed about his client’s trial – Ashley Benton. She’s the 17 year old female who admitted to stabbing and killing a rival gang member – Gabriel Granillo in Chew Park. In that interview FOX 26 reporter Kristine Galvan asked Wice about a witness on Monday that testified against Benton. That witness claimed Benton was part of a gang. Galvan also asked Wice if it was a set back to his client that her fellow gang member named ‘Cartoon’ testified against her. Wice went off on the other gang member calling him a moron and a knuckle head. He even joked saying he had been practicing law since Jose’ Grinan and Pattie Shieh, the FOX morning anchors, were in middle school. But it was live reporter Galvan who interjected during the tirade telling Wice to remember a kid is dead here. That was enough to get him back on track. Kristine Galvan took control of an interview that could have gone way off. Do you think Wice went too far or was he just doing his job to represent his client in court?
