ALBERTUS AND CAROL MIMS GALLOWAY CELEBRATE 50 YEARS TOGETHER!

THE BIG WEDDING ANNIVERSARY WITH LOTS OF DIAMONDS!

The Insite sends a wonderful congratulations out to former Houston City Council Member and NAACP President Carol Mims Galloway and her husband Albertus Galloway. Saturday evening they celebrated their 50th – that’s right 50th wedding anniversary. I served as emcee as family and friends came together to pay tribute to the couple at Brady’s Landing. The Galloways were surprised by their children with the private ballroom party. Before the event was over Carol and Albertus both exchanged multi-karated (if that’s a word) diamond rings that they purchased for each other. The couple met after Carol said her husband’s fast car caught her attention 50 years ago. As many of you know Mrs. Galloway – who currently pushes a fancy red sports car – loves fast vehicles. She says when Albertus allowed her to drive his car back in 1957 she was hooked on the car and him. Some of the people attending the event were: Felicia Galloway, Richard Mims, Richard Jackson, Rep. Senfronia Thompson, Joan Hubert, Rev. Roy Williams, Norma Watson Bediako, Edna Richard, Marcia Galloway, John and Jackie Poore, Geraldine Mims, Altoya Bazile, Alton Bazile, Ericka Bazile, Dionne Hall, Simone Hall and a host of others!
