JOLANDA JONES AND HER CELEBRITY FRIENDS IN KENTUCKY FOR A GOOD CAUSE!

FOR THE POLICE AND FIREFIGHTERS CHARITY!

Houston attorney Jolanda Jones is sharing her Kentucky excursion with Insite readers. Here’s what happened in her own words:

By: Jalonda Jones
The police and firefighters in Louisville, KY host an annual fundraiser each year to raise money for the Children’s Hospital, from July 6 – 7, so that children confined to the hospital during Christmas and their families have gifts and pizza to cheer them up during the holiday season. The charity invited numerous television personalities from The Sopranos, Survivor, The Amazing Race, Leave It To Beaver, The Apprentice, Outback Jack, and Friday Night Lights, among others, to help raise money. It was a 2 day, non-stop, event which included appearances, which raised money, at the Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, the Louisville Slugger Museum, a mid night cruise on the Ohio River and a gala. The celebrities mingled and signed autographs, all for the police and firefighters charity. I also volunteered to be drenched in water for the benefit of the kids. Notice how the Six Flags worker has on a rain pancho. The pictures are with me, Vincent Pastore (Sopranos) & Cao Boi (Survivor); me and Rupert (Survivor); me and those of us who chose to attend the Six Flags event. And yes, they support me in my run for city council. We had a great time raising money for charity. We all also feel honored to be able to use our celebrity to raise money for worthwhile causes.
