The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force needs the public’s assistance in identifying a serial bank robber who’s been dubbed the “Bossy Bandit” for his use of aggressive verbal demands during bank robberies. This morning, he was captured for a second time in local bank surveillance photographs taken during the robbery of the Trustmark Bank located at 14604 Northwest Freeway in Houston, Texas. At 11:37AM, the “Bossy Bandit” entered the bank, approached a teller station and slid a blue plastic bag to the teller. The verbal demands began as the “Bossy Bandit” ordered the teller to place all of the money into the bag and insisted she not give him any dye packs. While the teller complied, the “Bossy Bandit” continued to live up to his name by repeatedly ordering her to “Hurry up, hurry up!” He fled the scene with the money in a blue plastic shopping bag. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

On July 3, 2007, investigators believe the same individual robbed the Wells Fargo Bank located at 14600 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas in a similar fashion. Investigators are also looking to determine if this individual is responsible for any other robberies in this area or elsewhere.

The “Bossy Bandit” is described as a white male in his late 30s to early 40s, approximately 6’3, 175 pounds with a thin build and a tanned complexion. During this morning’s robbery, he wore a blue baseball cap, white button down long sleeved shirt, blue jeans and dark sunglasses. He used a blue plastic shopping bag to carry the stolen cash.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the charging and arrest of the “Bossy Bandit”. If you have any information regarding this case, contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 713-222-8477 or the Houston office of the FBI at 713-693-5000.
