WHICH LIFE DO YOU VALUE THE MOST: HUMAN OR ANIMAL?

WHY DO SOME IGNORE HUMAN SUFFERING WHILE THEIR HEARTS GO OUT TO ANIMALS?

I’ve always been perplexed by this next topic. I can’t understand why so many people have more compassion for an animal over a human. I recently did a report on a veteran who hasn’t received his disability approval from the government in seven years. As a result that man is now living in his friend’s car with his cat. When I showed his cat in the report I got more calls about the welfare of the animal than the human being who was living in the car. I just don’t get that. I had a puppy when I was little and we named her Puppy. I loved her to death. I also had a German Shepherd as a kid and we named him King. Both were the smartest pets I’ve ever seen and we loved them dearly but I would never value their lives over that of a human. I’m just trying to figure out how some can see and then ignore a man who can’t walk with brain damage and then turn their attention to the cat…I don’t get that. Any Insite readers have any idea what’s going on with our society or is it me?
