I was in Clear Lake Thursday and made a stop by this business with a sign indicating it was a convenience store or a mini-mart. The doors were locked and you had to ring a buzzer to get in. The windows were painted black. I had one of my vague moments wondering, “well what kind of store is this with all of this black on the windows?” Photographer and Insite Street Team member Torrey ‘T-Dub’ Walker had to bring me to reality as he frequently does. He said what kind of business do you think it is…So we rang the buzzer and this short woman came out with a cat in her hands and asked what we wanted. When the door opened there was a line of 8-liners as far as the eye could see. I’m sure it wasn’t legal. If so there wouldn’t be a buzzer on the door or windows painted black and a short woman with a cat who jumped into her car and left once she found out we were with FOX 26. It’s ripe for the pickings if HPD’s vice unit wants to make a house call!
