LAUGHING IT UP AT TYME SQUARE WITH THE PARTY KING!

GIGGLES, GRINS AND GOOD FRIENDS!

It was all about giggles, grins, and good friends on Wednesday night at Tyme Square located at 4620 W Fuqua. The weekly open Mic comedy showcase featured local comics that ranged from first time performers to individuals who have been tickling audience’s funny
bones for years. The weekly event starts at 10 pm and lasts until the last comic finishes their set. All night long, cheers and jeers bellowed from the audience signifying that some comedians were right on point while others needed to rethink their routines and comedic aspirations. The comics were led by veteran comedian and MC Thomas Webb. Several performers stood out and included Larry Goodwell, who definitely shocked and awed the audience with his jaw dropping performance. Norris Popillion ( a young comedian you should keep your eye out for and that I
hope to hear more from), who goes by the stage name of “Pop” put on a rib tickling, gut busting performance rarely seen this early in a comedian’s comic career. Stand up comedian Kier Spates of BET’s Comic View and the stage play Men Money & Gold Diggers entertained
the audience during his set while Black Prince wrapped up the show and left the crowd in stitches with imitations and emulations of pop singer Michael Jackson. Faces in the crowd included Jason and Sherenda Sherman, Monica Trammer, Chang, Jessica, and Bryan and Ralph Viverette.
