RUSTY HARDIN TO TAKE ON ASHBY HIGH RISE!

CAN HE STOP THE BUILDING FROM GOING UP IN SOUTHAMPTON?
The combined forces of Boulevard Oaks and Southampton civic associations announced today that they have engaged Rusty Hardin to assist them in opposing the proposed 23-story high-rise development at Bissonnet and Ashby Streets. Rusty Hardin has earned his deserved reputation as one of the most talented and recognized trial lawyers in America.

“Rusty has been engaged by our community to pursue all of the legal options that our neighborhoods can use to stop the proposed development.”, said Chris Amandes, who is working with Hardin and a group of expert lawyers who live in the neighborhood and oppose the project. “ We are delighted to have him on our team.”

Since learning about developers Mathew Morgan’s and Kevin Kirton’s proposed project, the neighborhood civic associations have raised money and built a strong organization in just 2 weeks. In that time we have enlisted the support of Mayor White, Councilmember’s Brown, Lovell, and Clutterbuck, State Senator Ellis, and State Representatives, Cohen and Coleman in opposition to the developers’ ill-conceived and destructive project.

While the civic organizations pursue all legal and other options, the grassroots operation is working overtime by building a website, collecting signatures on petitions, writing our elected officials and developers and making calls. For more information please visit www.stopashbyhighrise.com.
