I had a chance to listen to Republican talk show host and Houston city councilman Michael Berry Monday evening and it sounded as if he was switching political parties. The talk show host was on the verge of a tirade. Berry complained about how the republican party has all but brainwashed some Americans by making democrats the boogie monster. Berry says he’s tired of his party using the democrats as an excuse for what’s wrong in America. He went on to say, “people have about had enough, they want answers in Iraq. How many troops are we going to send there and how long before we are out…And stop telling me to ask the question is unpatriotic.” Berry didn’t stop there in his two hour long program on KTRH. He went after the so called ‘Bush’s brain’ Carl Rove. Berry said, “Carl Rove throws his little sparklers out there and you go ooooh lights. Stop worrying about the democrats for a second and hold your own party accountable.” Berry also said he was very disappointed in the Bush administration and the lack of progress it has made on illegal immigration and the war on terrorism. But the councilman’s main focus was a satellite homeland security is hoping to launch to monitor US borders. Berry says he rather see some boots on the ground rather than a satellite that will only sit in space and take pictures. Berry also surprisingly gave Barack Obama somewhat of an endorsement. He says Obama is the only Presidential candidate offering real solutions in the race. So what do you think? Is Michael Berry preparing to switch political parties ?
