DRINK, DINE, SOCIALIZE AND LIVE JAZZ IN YOUR BACKYARD AT THE CAT!
If you haven’t been downtown for a while you may be missing out on one of Houston’s best kept secrets. It’s the Red Cat Jazz Cafe’ on Congress where you can dine, dance and socialize all in one adult environment. The Insite sat down with owner Sam Pink who says he has a lot in the works for The Red Cat brand. Pink says the popular Houston nightspot is expanding. There will soon be new locations in Detroit and Atlanta. This comes on the heels of a major partnering between Pink and College Station businessman and car dealership owner John Hilderbrand with Caldwell Country Chevrolet. But the expansion isn’t all that’s happening at the Cat. Pink says Red Cat is also a record label called Red Cat Music Group. Part of the labels public relations will include a tour of some of the biggest names in Jazz. Already committed to the Cat Jazz concert circuit are Ronnie Laws, Najee, and a host of others. Just this weekend the legendary Billy Dee Williams spent Sunday night at the Red Cat Jazz Cafe’. Now, if it’s good enough for Billy Dee you know you shouldn’t miss another minute of Red Cat where the bands are live every night and the bar is fully stocked. Make sure you drop by the Red Cat where big things are happening!
