SHOULD FEDERAL JUDGE IN GALVESTON STEP DOWN?

ACCUSED OF SEXUALLY HARASSING A FEMALE EMPLOYEE!

It was back in September when the Judicial Council of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reprimanded Galveston based federal Judge Samuel B. Kent for sexual harassment. That reprimand came after allegations he went too far with a female employee and mistreatment of others.

The allegations of abuse began years ago and involved at least three employees according to two women who were interviewed. The most recent allegation involved the judge touching a female case manager in his chambers back in March.

Kent’s case load was taken away and he was given a paid leave for 4 months. His annual salary is $165,000. Do you think this federal judge has gone too far and brought shame on the federal bench or he’s served his punishment and should be given a second chance? The Insite would love to hear your opinion on this still developing issue!
