The hottest political tale circulating in Democratic circles in Harris County is the earlier than expected re-emergence of one time Houston City Council member Carroll Robinson. He is reportedly making calls letting folks know he is interested in seeking the position of District Clerk. Robinson was allegedly recruited by River Oaks Chrysler Plymouth honcho Alan Helfman.
It has been expected that Robinson would run for Houston City Controller in 2009 after previously serving a term limited maximum of three terms on Houston City Council.
Already announced and running for the position of Harris County District Clerk is attorney Loren Jackson. The Democratic nominee will most probably face GOP appointed incumbent Theresa Chang in November 2008.
