St. Louis Rams offensive lineman Claude Terrell was arrested in Webster early Tuesday morning on a family violence assault charge, FOX 26 News reported.
Police in the suburb of Webster say they found a woman who identified herself as Terrell’s wife with “obvious signs of physical injury” after responding to a disturbance at a Hampton Inn. The woman told police Terrell had assaulted her.
Police say Terrell, 25, was found at another hotel nearby where he was arrested and charged with assault-family violence, a class A misdemeanor.
The 6-foot-2, 330-pound Terrell has appeared in six games with three starts for St. Louis this season.
Terrell’s agent, Kennard McGuire, told FOX 26 Sports he knew little about the alleged incident.
“Until we get all the information we can’t make a statement,” McGuire said.
Terrell, who attended La Marque High School in Texas City, is in his third season with the Rams.
