SCOTT GERTNER PERFORMS TO HELP GET HOUSTON KIDS TO CARNEGIE HALL!

HOW DO YOU GET TO CARNEGIE HALL?

Just ask a Pershing Middle School Bandmember

Someone once asked the question, “How Do You Get to Carnegie Hall?” and the proverbial answer was “practice, practice, practice”. Apparently, Pershing Middle School’s Band, under the direction of Band Director, Richard Smith, has taken that saying to heart and they have practiced and practiced so much that they captured the attention of Dick Clardy, Executive Director of Choice Music Events.

Choice Music Events contacted Richard Smith and invited his band to perform at the world famous Carnegie Hall in New York City on March 27, 2008.

To show support for the young musicians and help raise funds to send them to Carnegie Hall, Houston’s own Scott Gertner & Band of Scott Gertner’s SkyBar and Grille will perform a special, benefit concert.

The concert will be held in the Pershing Middle School Auditorium on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are now on sale at $15.00 general admission ($25.00 at the door) and $50.00 for reserved V.I.P. seating. There will be “pizza-by-the-slice” served in the school cafeteria from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. before the show.

COME HEAR SCOTT GERTNER & BAND AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR OUR KIDS!
