A spokesperson for Spring Independent School District told FOX 26 News that Alison Mosbeck resigned from the district Monday after Spring ISD Police officers arrested her Friday.
A letter was not sent home to parents regarding the matter since the student who accused Mosbeck of sexual abuse is no longer a student at Dueitt Middle School.
Mosbeck had been on administrative leave for several weeks while Spring ISD Police investigated the matter.
The results of the investigation were passed along to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office who issued the arrest warrant for Mosbeck on Friday.
Mosbeck is scheduled to appear in court in late November. The former Texas History teacher faces three counts of sexual abuse of a child and one count of improper relationship with a student.
