A WAY TO KEEP YOUR HOME FROM GOING INTO FORECLOSURE IN HOUSTON!

GETTING OUT OF THE ARM HEAD LOCK!

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Litton Loan Servicing and industry experts will host a foreclosure prevention meeting for Houston-area homeowners on Tuesday, February 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church North Campus located at 22770 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339.

HUD and the other participants planned the meeting in response to the growing number of foreclosures taking place. According to information from RealtyTrac, a real estate organization that maintains a national database of foreclosure activity, Houston-area foreclosure activity exceeded 11,000 filings for the second half of 2007, ranking the area 36th among the nation’s 100 largest metropolitan areas.

Topics at the meeting will include methods and resources available to help consumers avoid foreclosure and preserve homeownership.

Consumers who are behind on their mortgage payments, have an adjustable rate mortgage (ARM) loan that may be resetting to a higher interest rate or are facing foreclosure are encouraged to attend.
