BARACK OBAMA MANIA TAKES OVER HOUSTON!

THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WANTED TO SEE THE SENATOR WHO COULD BECOME PRESIDENT!

It was like nothing that I’d ever seen before. Thousands of people in line to see a politician speak. It was the Houston rally for Presidential candidate Barack Obama. It was more like a Hannah Montana concert with the number of people who showed up for the event. Estimates are 20,000 people crammed into the Toyota Center. I wonder if the Rockets every did that. After a healthy wait – supporters took to their feet as the man of the hour entered the stage with little to no introduction. Obama hit several of the issues he hopes to address if he becomes President. He says he wants to tackle health care, Iraq, education, predatory lending, and the loss of jobs to NAFTA. Obama said it is time for change. He says currently Washington, D.C. is a place where good ideas go to die. He hit several of his campaign slogans such as ‘Change’ and ‘Yes We Can.’ He also encouraged Houstonians to go out to the polls and vote early. Obama will spend lots of time in Texas as we move closer to the big primary. Did you go and what do you remember from the candidate?
