CELEBRATING BLACK HISTORY AT EMANCIPATION PARK!

A DAY TO WATCH THE FUTURE – YOUNG PEOPLE!

The Insite had the honor of serving as master of ceremonies at the Black history program Thursday evening at Emancipation Park. The city owned park, started by African Americans, was established 138 years ago. At the event it was all about young children who performed throughout the night. We had a chance to see them dance, sing, and read poetry. Lots of familiar faces attended the event including Horace Chaney, Milette Claton-Scott, Printiss Goods, Lonal Robinson, Doris Robinson, Prentiss Collins, Jackeline Bostic, Wanda Adams, and the list goes on. Here are some of the photos I was able to get in between my emcee duties!
