The Insite was forced into going into another Atlanta restaurant Saturday morning. As usual I hate going out to actually eat in a restaurant. Under the leadership of former Insite columnist Michaerl Gildon, Romell Foster, and Milette Clayton-Scott we ended up at Gladys Knight and Ron Winans’ Chicken and Waffles. It’s located on Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta. Surprisingly, I actually liked the food. I had the grits and chicken wings. Others at the table varied with their order from greens to waffles. The salmon was sent back by one in our party. That person said it was too dry. Well after enjoying the meal – all eyes turned to me when the bill came. I started to walk out on them but I figure the waitress would be left holding the bill. So, I paid this time and immediately remembered why in part I hate eating out!
