The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force believes the “Blackhawk Bandits” have committed at least three armed bank robberies, the latest one occurring today at the Wachovia Bank at 10009 Almeda Genoa in Houston.
Three suspects entered the bank, and one of them immediately jumped over the teller counter and demanded money from the tellers. A second suspect placed a gun to another employee’s head, and demanded money from the drawers and vault. The third suspect stood guard in the bank lobby.
After grabbing the cash, all three fled on foot in an unknown direction. No one was physically hurt.
Suspect number one is described as a black male, 21 to 25 years old, 5’5” to 5’7” tall, 180 pounds, husky build, round face with dark complexion and smooth skin. He was wearing a black baseball cap (no logo), black sweater, black pants with white lettering on the legs and rear of pants, and black and clear glasses of the type worn by construction workers.
Suspect number two is described as a black male, early 20’s, 6’0” tall, 180 pounds, slim build, small oval face with clear, dark complexion, wearing the same type glasses as suspect one. He wore a black sweater, white tee shirt, black pants, and held a pistol in his right hand.
Suspect three was described as a tall, black, heavyset male.
