FIRST THE SKY BAR, NEXT CARNEGIE HALL: DANIELLE DEMMER DROPS BY THE INSITE!
It was a very special evening for 13 year old Danielle Demmer this past Saturday. To celebrate her 13th birthday she actually got on stage and performed alto sax with Scott Gertner and the Sky Bar band. Demmer is the daughter of legendary Houston saxophonist Eric Demmer who is also a member of Gertner’s band. Danielle played along side her father the classic ‘Pick Up The Pieces’ by the Average White Band. The Insite was invited by Danielle’s mother Mrs. Dusty Demmer. Saturday’s performance isn’t all the attention Danielle will be getting this week. She’s also headed to New York City where she will play at Carnegie Hall. She will be joined by several of her classmates who are also scheduled to perform. The students attend Pershing Middle school in HISD. Happy birthday goes out to Danielle and much thanks to Mr. Gertner and his staff for accommodating The Insite for the photos!
