Autopsy results are still pending on an abandoned 15-year-old girl whose initial toxicology tests revealed she had elevated levels of several narcotics in her system.
Crystina Sequeda of Houston – who was living at a Youth Ranch in Gonzales – died at Memorial Hermann Hospital Wednesday after she was found the day before at a Houston Fire Department station in the 600 block of Telephone Road. Houston Police say an unknown male pulled her out of the back of his blue Escort and left her on the ground and then drove off.
Fire officials found the teen with a faint pulse and transported her to the hospital, according to the statement. Initial toxicology tests detected elevated levels of cocaine, marijuana, PCP and Xanax in her system.
Police are still investigating the incident. The young girl was in the custody of CPS at a youth facility in Gonzales, Texas when she ran a way earlier this month. She made it back to Houston and was dead a week later. Sequeda was in CPS’ custody according to the agency because her father is in prison and her mother died of a drug overdose last year. HPD is asking anyone with information or identity of the while male who dropped her off to contact the department’s homicide division at 713-308-3600.
