WHAT IS IT WITH EVERYONE SAYING ‘WOW’ NOW?

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN – WOW – WOW WHAT?

I can remember way back when if you told someone something very fascinating or exciting they would then give you a heartfelt response. A verbal reaction that reflected the gravity of the information conveyed. For example, I could tell someone I won a million dollars playing the lottery this weekend. The old time response used to be something like: “Oh my God, are you serious?” or “You’ve got be kidding me!” Or “Holy —-!” But now if you tell someone that an elderly man was shot and killed after robbing a bank while carrying two bibles, a crucifix, and 4 glasses of holy water their response will typically be ‘WOW’ – Why is everyone all of sudden saying WOW. What does WOW mean? It seems to be a lazy way of not showing your true emotion or that you simply don’t care what someone is saying. Are my conversations that boring that all I can get is a WOW? I have heard people who have never in the past used the word WOW now saying WOW to everything I tell them. What is this WOW phenomenon about. Are we getting lazy as a society and just refusing to dig deep and come up with a more adequate reaction to a man getting pregnant in Oregon. WOW! What do you think this WOW thing is about and please don’t let my first comment be WOW!
