The Insite hears Pearland Police have arrested a man for trying to attack well known Houston activist Quanell X. Quanell tells the Insite he was working out Monday morning at 24 Hour Fitness in Pearland when the man approached him. X says the man was carrying a military buck knife. He says the man told him he didn’t want him working out at the gym while he was there. X says as the man attempted to attack him with the knife an off duty police officer and several other people in the gym wrestled the man to the ground. He is identified as Hunter Ratliff. Investigators arrested him for terroristic threatening. X says he’s upset with 24 Hour Fitness because the man allegedly told gym workers last week he was going to kill Quanell X. X says the staff should’ve given him a warning. X was not hurt!
